Why we make one thing
Most pet supplements are long lists of ingredients at doses you can't check. We went the other way: one nutrient, clearly labelled, at a dose printed on the tub.
We don't promise miracles, and we won't tell you your cat is sick. If you and your vet decide a taurine top-up makes sense, we want it to be the simplest thing in your cupboard.

Taurine is an essential amino acid for cats: they can't make enough of it themselves and have to get it from food. Complete and balanced commercial diets are formulated to meet the requirement, so many cats won't need more. A top-up can make sense for cats on home-made or raw diets, or where your vet recommends it. It is a nutritional supplement, not a medicine.
No. Tauracat is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Symptoms like weight loss, vomiting, heavy drinking or breathing changes need a vet, not a supplement. If your cat has a diagnosed condition, ask your vet before adding anything to their diet.
One level scoop (1 g, containing 500 mg of L-taurine) mixed into food once a day for an adult cat, or as your vet directs. For a cautious start with a picky eater, begin with a pinch and build up over a few days.
It's an unflavoured white powder. Most cats eat it without fuss when it's stirred into wet food or a spoonful of broth — but every cat is different, which is what the guarantee is for.
Taurine is water-soluble and is generally well tolerated at supplemental doses. Stick to the dose on the label, and check with your vet first if your cat is pregnant, nursing, under 12 weeks old or on medication.
